All exhibitors who have never shown at an OPHC show in the past will receive entries for 1 judge free of charge at this show! Please let our show secretary know when you submit your entries.
 
The grounds will be open at 3:00 pm on the day before the show.

Stalls: $60.00 each
Hydro Hook Up: $30.00 per day
Shavings: $7.00/bag
Stalls for all OPHC shows can be booked by emailing Bryan Ramsey. Stalls are assigned on a first come first served basis.

 

PLEASE NOTE: STALLS FOR THE NO BLING IN THE RING MUST BE BOOKED BY AUGUST 14TH.

 

Directions to the Ancaster Fairgrounds.

This is a No-Bling show! Exhibitors are encouraged to leave the silver & rhinestones at home to provide a more casual show atmosphere that is welcoming to first time OPHC exhibitors. Exhibitors will receive no more or less credit for simple outfits and clean tack.
 

APPAREL

  • In halter and all western classes, appropriate Western attire is required, which includes pants, ankle length or longer; shirt, blouse or showmanship type jacket with long sleeves and a collar. A vest accompanied with a long-sleeve shirt or blouse with a collar, and/ or a jacket with a  shirt that has a collar, is acceptable.  A western hat, or safety helmet, and cowboy boots are also required. 

  • In all English classes, rider should wear hunt coats of traditional colors such as navy, dark green, grey, black or brown.  Maroon and red are improper.  Breeches are to be of traditional shades of buff, khaki, canary, light grey, or rust (or jodhpurs), with high English boots or paddock (jodhpur) boots of black or brown. Black, navy blue or brown hard hat (with harness if jumping fences at any time on the grounds) is mandatory.  A tie or choker is required.  Hair must be neat and contained (as in net or braid).

 

TACK

  • Nylon halters for are acceptable for halter and showmanship.

  • Work bridles & saddles may be used; silver is not required.

 

TURNOUT

  • It not necessary to use fake tails or hoof black.

  • Braiding or banding manes is not required.
